This position is ideal for candidates with a degree in Accounting who are looking to apply their education in a public sector setting. The Accounting Specialist will support a variety of finance functions, with a strong focus on accounts payable, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.
This entry level position offers valuable exposure to governmental accounting practices and provides opportunities for growth and advancement within the department. Salary Range:
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Range ($66,880 – $83,600 per year): For new hires to the position and the District, pay generally starts at the minimum, though qualifications and experience may be considered. Increases within this range occur over time based on demonstrated proficiency and satisfactory performance.
Midpoint to Maximum Pay Range ($83,600 – $100,320 per year): Pay above the midpoint to the maximum is typically reserved for employees with sustained performance and established longevity in the position at the District.
