Job Description

My client is seeking a well-rounded construction manager with operational/self-perform experience. This role offers the opportunity to run a division of a fantastic company with 30 years of work performed in the territory. The successful candidate will be located along the Route 64 corridor between Lexington, KY and Charleston, WV.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will operate the entire division. Responsibilities Include:
• Sales/estimating
• Keeping in touch with owners/engineers to understand future projects, bid timing, etc.
• Will perform bidding on the Estimating Platform.
• Perform take-offs, write proposals to private clients.
• Change order management.
• Drawing/specification review. Blueprint reading and understanding.
• Engage subcontractors to provide coverage on bid scopes.
• Project management
• Production tracking
• Invoice approval
• Produce Billings
• Attend progress meetings
• QA/QC
• Material ordering
• Submittals
• Subcontractor production/scheduling
• Safety
• Operations
• Man-power scheduling
• Equipment and Material Deliveries
• Production
• Accounting/Home Office Support
• Work within Viewpoint for Job Cost, Invoice Approval
• Work within Traqspera for Time Sheet and Daily Reports Approval

The client specializes in parking garage construction, including garage restoration, concrete repairs, and waterproofing, which they perform with their own in-house crews. They have developed a reputation for being the best at what they do. They sweat the details to ensure their clients (90+% recurring) get the right repair the first time. They train and develop their teams within and have steady growth from apprentice through superintendent.

Preferred Qualifications

• This candidate would be currently living or be willing to relocate between Charleston, WV and Lexington, KY. We currently average around $40M in revenue a year, with about 10% coming from the Southern District.
• A bachelor's degree, with a focus on Construction Management, is a plus but not required.
• Willing to travel, mainly day trips with very occasional overnights.
• 5+ Years of Construction Experience
• Operational, Self Perform Experience is heavily desired.
• Concrete repair or waterproofing is a plus, but not required.

• Salary Range - $125,000-$175,000
