We are seeking Interns! Southeastern Ohio Join our team!
Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services - working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
As an intern, you will work closely with licensed Social Workers, Counselors, Community Behavioral Health Workers, and other professionals to gain practical experience in the Behavioral Health field. You will provide support to Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities and assist with various tasks to enhance their behavioral health well-being.
What You'll Do (Duties/Responsibilities): - Provide emotional support, active listening, and motivational interviewing.
- Link clients with available community resources and advocate for advancement of socioeconomic equality.
- Participate in creating and executing treatment plans.
- Maintain client records and documentation.
- Administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and phone calls.
- Comply with HIPPA Regulations.
- Use Trauma Informed Care Model.
- Conduct research on social issues and relevant resources.
- Attend meetings with clients, families, and service providers as required.
- Participate in supervision and training sessions.
- Reflect on experiences and apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations.
- Interns at the clinical level will provide assessment and diagnosis of disorders in accordance with diagnostic criteria in DSM-5.
- Interns at clinical level will provide treatment of mental health disorders with evidence-based interventions.
Minimum Requirements: - High School diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental approach.
- Basic knowledge of boundaries, human services related principles, and ethics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different client populations and settings.
