POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Forensic Services (C.F.S.) Forensic Nurse Examiner (F.N.E.) is responsible for responding to abuse and/or assault victims or suspects by providing quality patient care and forensic evidence collection. The F.N.E. integrates activities with other hospital departments, law enforcement agencies, child protective services, victim advocacy, prosecution, community health care professionals, and the public. The F.N.E. knows the consequences of nursing actions and the legalities involved.
