Job Title: Special Education Teacher Severe/Profound Caseload (Middle School)
Location: Hiram, GA
Contract Type: Full-Time, Contracted through ProCare Therapy
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to work with a Severe/Profound caseload in Hiram, GA. This position requires a teacher who can provide individualized, adapted instruction and support for students with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities. Candidates must be comfortable working in a self-contained classroom environment and collaborating with paraprofessionals and related service providers to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for middle school students with Severe/Profound disabilities .
• Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other staff to support student learning.
• Communicate progress with families and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with personal care and mobility support as needed, including the ability to lift and physically assist students .

• Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in:
• Adapted Curriculum
• General Curriculum

• Experience with Severe/Profound disabilities preferred.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• Must be able to lift and physically support students as needed. Employment Details:
