Staff Accountant

$80,000 -$90,000 base salary (depending on experience)

East Valley, AZ (On-site)

Vaco has partnered with a respected construction company seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This role offers a clear path for advancement, along with a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, supporting monthly close, analyzing financial data, and assisting with AP, AR, and payroll functions. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain general ledger and perform monthly close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and sales tax filings
• Analyze financial records, investigate variances, and support financial reporting accuracy
• Review inventory activity, AP batches, and assist AR with collections to support cash flow
• Provide backup support for AP, AR, and Payroll functions as needed
• Ensure accounting controls and support operational teams to maintain financial integrity

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting or related field required
• Fixed Asset experience required
• Construction or related industry experience preferred
• Inventory experience preferred
