Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Supplier Engineer to join a high-performance team in Phoenix, AZ . This role focuses on supplier development, quality assurance, and supply chain management . The ideal candidate will have expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Supplier Quality, and CAPA methodologies to drive process improvements and maintain supplier compliance.
Manage supplier development and performance to ensure alignment with manufacturing standards.
Evaluate and enhance Supplier Quality using 8D, CAPA methodologies for problem-solving and quality improvement.
Conduct supplier audits , perform risk assessments, and develop corrective actions for non-conformities.
Collaborate with supply chain management to optimize cost reductions and efficiency .
Work closely with Mechanical Engineering teams to align supplier capabilities with design specifications.
Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and manage supplier documentation.
Execute supplier development projects and maintain consistent production flow.
Implement quality assurance measures to prevent defects and reduce waste.
5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Supply Chain Management .
Hands-on expertise in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, and Supply Chain Optimization .
Familiarity with 8D, CAPA methodologies for quality management.
Proven ability to conduct supplier audits and implement corrective actions.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and supplier documentation requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive cost reduction initiatives .
Strong communication and negotiation skills .
Ability to work onsite five days a week in Phoenix, AZ.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS) .
Advanced knowledge of supplier risk management and mitigation strategies .
