About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Finance and Accounting (Controller) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key strategic partner to the CFO, playing a pivotal role in the company's financial and operational decision-making. This includes supporting senior management in various growth initiatives, such as M&A, and ensuring the integrity of financial statements, and compliance with GAAP. The Controller will also be responsible for the monthly close, financial reporting, and annual audit processes, as well as overseeing the bookkeeping function and the company's innovative ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' of relevant accounting experience, with a strong background in technical accounting, and a proven track record of leadership and team development. Experience in a fast-growth company, particularly one backed by private equity or venture capital, is highly valued. The role requires a deep understanding of tax reporting and compliance, as well as experience in GL management and M&A, specifically in auditing and integrating financial systems. The candidate should be process-driven, with the ability to implement and optimize systems, and possess excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with a CPA being preferred.
