Job Title: Painter
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting materials and techniques, and will be responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces according to instructions while adhering to health and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Read job scopes and work order instructions to assess necessary work.
• Make on-site preparations including building scaffolding and covering fixtures.
• Prepare walls and surfaces by scraping, pressure washing, and removing old paint.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials.
• Paint surfaces using various tools as per instructions.
• Adhere to all health and safety precautions during the painting process.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and application techniques.
• Solid understanding of commercial and construction painting techniques.
• Aptitude in using tools such as brushes, caulking guns, and airless sprayers.
• Good basic math skills.
• Manual dexterity and excellent balance for working on scaffolding and ladders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Driver's License is highly desired.
• Experience in roofing, construction, concrete, waterproofing, and general labor.

Work involves using hand tools and equipment in various conditions. Employees are expected to adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a professional dress code suitable for construction and painting tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
